Ramadan: Ayah of the Day #29 and Eid Mubarak :)

Alhamdulillah we are at the end of this one month journey of Ramadan. May Allah swt accept it from us 🙂 Today’s ayah is a very beautiful and special ayah. It is a wonderful sunnah with a beautiful and special reward.

But if they turn away, say (O Muhammad pbuh): “Allah is sufficient for me. La ilaha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He), in Him I put my trust and He is the Lord of the Mighty Throne.

 (At Taubah 9:129)

In this ayah Allah swt clearly specifies that none is worthy of any form of worship except for Him swt. He alone is to be worshipped and glorified, the Master, the Lord, and the Creator of the heavens and the earth. He swt is the only one, you should put your trust into, as His trust is never misplaced. He swt is the owner of the Mighty Throne that is up above the seven heavens and He swt is the King of the Kings and owner of everthing that there exists! Subhan Allah!

This ayah makes a beautiful duaa. It begins with glorifying Allah swt, proclaiming total submission unto Him and ends with His glorification again. Subhan Allah. Like every duaa should. Every duaa should begin by glorifying Allah swt, sending salautations and blessings on our beloved Prophet (pbuh) and then making duaa with total submission, humility and trust in Allah swt. Another beautiful aspect of this ayah is the sunnah relating to it. The Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) used to recite this duaa seven times in the morning or evening. It is a simple duaa, yet a very powerful one, that you should definitely include in your duaa list!

Allah will grant whoever recites this seven times in the morning or evening whatever he desires from this world or the next.

Both reports are attributed directly to the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh). The chain of transmission is Sahih according to Ibn As Sunni.

There is nothing that you desire of this word and the next, that won’t be given to you, if you recite this duaa with sincere belief in its words and meaning. When you sincerely put your trust in Allah swt, sumbit yourself completely to Him swt, are humble before Him and glorify Him with the best praises, He swt will make easy for you whatever is that you are seeking. Of course, only if it good for you, in your deen, duniya and aakhira, and that Allah alone knows and decides for you.

So, include this lovely dhikr and duaa in your daily adhkar. Seek the goodness of duniya and akhira through this duaa, in sha Allah, The All-Hearer will grant what you are seeking of Him swt.

May Allah swt accept our days of fasting. May He swt accept our ibaadah, in His love and mercy for us. May He swt grant us another Ramadan to witness and rectify ourselves. May He swt accpet our supplications and invocations and grant us the best to us, that is good for us in our deen, duniya and aakhira.
